Highlights from the event:
Egg Drop Competition – Teens enjoyed creating carriers for raw eggs which were then dropped in the south lobby. Most of the teens’ carriers allowed the eggs to “survive” the journey. Thanks to professor Thomas Berfield and his students from the U of L Speed School for being on hand to coordinate this activity.
Fresh Fruit Fear Factor and Healthy Snack Challenge. We had a variety of fresh fruits, veggies, healthy dips and other good choices for snacking.
Forever Fades Away – This year’s band really rocked the house!
Pride and Passion : The African American Baseball Experience – Teens enjoyed a scavenger hunt based on the current exhibit in the Bernheim Gallery.
Other activities included karaoke, gaming, Astronaut 101 training, presentations by the Health Department and Animal Services, and a Hunger Games themed science activity courtesy of the Louisville Science Center.
Thank you to everyone who came out and made the program a success! Check out LFPL's Facebook page for more photos.
