You must be certified as "test ready" before scheduling an appointment to take the GED exam. - COMPASS - "The COMPASS exam is a computer-based assessment advising program designed to identify the basic skill levels of students as they enter college. The primary goal of this assessment process is to efficiently and effectively gather information about individual student's skills, needs, and plans, as an important step in the process of assisting the student in developing and implementing a sound program of study that leads to their goals. The tests are not timed. The testing process for the COMPASS exam may be as short as 2.0 hours or as long as 4.0 hours." This is the entrance exam used at KCTCS.
