Directions
From the Watterson - Get off at Shelbyville Road East and take the Lyndon exit. Turn left on Lyndon Lane. When Lyndon Lane runs into Westport Rd, turn right. The library is located one mile down on the right in the Westport Middle School.
From Indiana - From I-65 south, take I-64 east and I-71 north toward Cincinnati. Continue on I-71 north when it splits from I-64. From I-71, follow the signs toward I-264 and Brownsboro Road. Take the Brownsboro Road exit; turn left on Brownsboro. Take a right onto Herr Ln. When Herr Lane crosses Westport Rd, turn left. The library approximately one mile down on the right.
Via Gene Snyder Freeway - Get off at the Westport Road exit; turn right (west). The library is approximately 2-3 miles down on the left.
From downtown - Follow I-64 east until you see signs for I-71 north toward Cincinnati. Take I-71 north until it meets with I-264. Take I-264 to the Brownsboro Rd. exit. Take a left onto Brownsboro. Turn right onto Herr Lane. When Herr Lane crosses Westport Road, turn left. The library is approximately one mile down on the right.

History
This bright, spacious combination school and public library replaces the very busy, but small Northeast Branch. The partnership between the Jefferson County Public Schools and Louisville Free Public Library offers access to more information for students and teachers while providing space for a thriving public library.
JCPS and LFPL staff worked together to design a library that meets the need of the public, students and teachers. JCPS enlarged and remodeled the library space while LFPL provided new books, computer equipment and software.
The Westport Branch opened November, 1995 at Westport Middle School on Westport Road. JCPS staff operates the facility as a school library from 7A.M. to 3P.M. during the school year. LFPL staff open the library to the public after school during the week and on Saturdays. Summer hours are expanded to include morning hours.
The Westport Branch offers Children’s and Adult programs and access to computers and the Internet. Stop in for a visit and enjoy the variety of resources
